Thank You!

Thank you for serving our country.

Stupid Pigs

Well, I guess it's kind-of difficult to call pigs stupid when I have such a cute picture of one, but after what happened two and a half weeks ago, they truly are stupid. Yes, I got swine flu. For a week and a half or so. Not only that, but while my mom was with my sister in Virgina for when she had her baby.
.
It started one Friday after going roller skating at Patisons when I started coughing. I thought that I was just coughing from skating so much. Then on Saturday and Sunday, I was miserable. I was coughing so hard it hurt my tailbone! I was sleeping almost all day and didn't have much of any appetite at all and I vomited one night, so that made me less willing to eat. On Monday I tried showering but I was so weak I almost collapsed. Tuesday, I got Anna sick too and she had to stay home from school too. So not only did I have to try to take care of myself, but I had to take care of Anna too. Then I started with the runny nose and that was going on all week. By Thursday, I was stronger, but the coughing just wouldn't go away, even with drugs! My mom was supposed to come home late that day, but she came at noon on Friday instead.
.
Meanwhile, at school we had two big projects I was missing. Thank goodness for my partner, Megan, because she saved our project in social studies. When I got to school the next Monday, i had four assignments in math, a book project, speech, and poster in english, a test in science, and thank goodness nothing in social studies. I couldn't do P.E. yet, so I had to write a disease report on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Since I was gone all of the week before, I got kicked out of volley ball which made me mad because that was my one attempt at being athletic. Oh well Now that I think of it, I still have science notes I need to get from Celina. But any ways! Moving on.

My sister, Brooke, had her baby girl on October 19th which just so happens to also be my sister Anna's birthday too. She named her Natalie Jill. She had her in Michigan, but only a couple of days later they had to move over to Virgina for her husband's new job.

I love this picture of Natalie, she looks like a little angle resting on a cloud. She definitely looks like a girl.

This is the view out of the big window in the room my mom was staying in at Brooke's new apartment on the 11th floor! You can see the Capital, Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial.
On Saturday, we went to Kennewick for Tyton's baby blessing. James' twin brother, Jeff, blessed his baby girl, Elisabeth, that Sunday too just after Tyton's. This is a family photo they took after the blessing. Later we had a turkey dinner with Jeff and his family.
Tyton has gotten soo much bigger! and he loves to smile. Some times he will wake up and smile at me and then realize he's hungry and start crying. Or maybe I just scare him. Either way.

After we got to Kennewick on Saturday, Tara, Kelsie, Mom, Megan, the babies, and I went to the craft fair. They had amazing pottery that looked like branches that was pretty cool. Another guy had homemade soaps that smelt really good. My favorite was the pomegranate. I ended up getting this hand made ring. The picture isn't very good and I had to put my ring on my left hand so I could take a picture. It is a gold and silver band tied together. Anna keeps making fun of me because she says it's a promise ring and wanted to know who the boy was. Silly Anna. My mom got dressing mixes and some yummy fudge.

Now you are up to date!
